CARLISLE, PENNSYLVANIA (March 23rd, 2018)-
The USAC East Coast roster continues to grow. Chandler Leiby will be taking the wings off his 358 Sprint Car to chase the Inaugural USAC-EC points championship.
Leiby, a second generation racer, started his career in 2008 in the 600 Micro Sprint division. Eventually, he moved up to the 358 Sprint Car ranks, scoring wins at Lincoln Speedway and Path Valley Speedway Park.
Leiby explains that although he is underpowered, their team is till undeterred. “We run our 358 with the URC boys and usually have a good night. I raced one wingless race in a micro and I loved it but there isn’t much wingless stuff around here so I’m pretty excited about this series.”
The Mach 1 Chassis, Hammaker Motor, number 119 plans to attend every race on the USAC-EC schedule. Leiby will also be competing in various Capitol Renegade United Racing Club shows, as well as varies 358 races around northeast.
Those making this possible for Leiby are, Dave Hammaker from Matco tools, Frank’s Tire and Automotive, Greg Leiby Sealcoating and Line Painting, Auto service Works, FXG Sign and Label, Fisher Auto Parts, Hench's Tree Service, Shetron Auction and Equipment, Mach 1 Chassis, Brad’s pizza, and Hammaker Engines.
