Dominance. What else can be said about Briggs Danner and the Heffner Enterprises South team lead by Curt Michael than Dominance. The team kicked off the season where they ended the 2021 season, by picking up the win at the Bridgeport Speedway. Followed by picking up one of the two double features at Bloomsburg, with two more wins coming at Williams Grove and Bridgeport to end the month of April.

Wins throughout the season at Action Track, again at Bloomsburg, Delaware International, Winchester, Bedford, and Bridgeport would end the season for Danner and team in the win column, but the story of the championship can be found when the team was not in victory lane. The teams worst finish of the season was a sixth place finish at Delaware International in April, with no DNF’s for the entire season. An equally impressive streak began at the Williams Grove Speedway in June where Danner finished in the runner up spot five times in a row, and six out of seven races in a row. That is the kind of streak and results that lead to a championship effort.

In addition to the busy USAC East Coast season, the team also venture into the USAC National Ranks by competing in the entire Eastern Storm where Danner nearly scored a victory at his home track of the Grandview Speedway finishing a close second to Brady Bacon. The team also competed in the full Indiana Sprint Week tour, making the feature event every night of the week, which is no short feat.

Finally, the team also competed in a number of winged feature events that saw the team compete with the World of Outlaws, All Stars, URC and local 410 action, with Danner collecting two wins. One with URC at Bridgeport, and another in open 410 competition at Action Track USA.

For 2023 things will look quite different for both Danner and the Heffner Enterprises South Team. Danner and the Heffner team parted ways over the winter months, with Danner finding a new home with Tim and Fran Hogue in their potent 39 machines. We're not exactly sure when the season for Hogue and Danner will start, but it is expected to feature starts with the USAC National Series, and run a mixture of USAC East Coast, and other winged 360 and 410 feature events.

While on the other side of things, the Heffner Enterprises South team at the command of Curt Michael will once again focus on the USAC East Coast Series season with a new driver that should be released soon.

Both teams and parties will be looking to keep up their speed and strength in 2023, with both sides having plenty of experience and desire to do even more with the incoming season!
